Back in the second week of November, we attended and displayed at the ATCA Summit in Santa Clara, California.
While the main focus of the Summit was to provide a forum for presentations to discuss the current state of the ATCA and MicroTCA market, as well as share predictions for future trends in the market, there was also a small trade show to allow companies to display their systems, products, and services.
The floor show itself was pretty slow, but still gave us a great opportunity to reconnect with friends in the industry. You know – those people you only see at trade events? It was really good to see some of the new stuff others have been working on. We were able to get a few good leads, and have already begun some initial work on potential new programs.
The ATCA Extensions Committee also pulled together to have a few face-to-face sessions. Having so many members available served as a good opportunity to bring everyone together to hammer out more details of the specification. The committee was very productive with its limited time at the show.
